The Ghost Prelude

Composer and pianist Felix Bead visits Valldemossa, Mallorca, where Frédéric Chopin spent the winter of 1838 in a monastery — and where Chopin experienced many apparitions of his own.

More about the book

Chopin, now an apparition himself, appears to Felix in visitation dreams. Both of them lost souls — Felix in the present, Chopin in the afterlife — they form a bond, exploring belonging, sexuality and musical creativity. Along the way Felix learns that the father who died before he knew him was Spanish.
